Early Years Program
The Pre-Primary program at Pride offers a strong foundation in a safe, stimulating environment. We introduce core concepts through engaging activities, complemented by co-curriculars like Music, Drama, Art, Pottery, and Physical Education. The Jolly Phonics program enhances language learning with a multi-sensory, child-friendly approach.
Mom & Me
Age : 9 months – 18 months
A child’s first teacher is their parent. Early years are vital for development, and a strong foundation in a nurturing environment is key for growth.
At PGS, the Mom & Me program offers engaging activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and socialization. Mothers and children enjoy a fun, safe space to bond while building skills for future success. Activities include Music, Dance, Yoga, Sand Play, Splash Pool, Storytime, Art, and Movement, all designed to support cognitive, social, and motor development.
The program also provides a chance for mothers to connect with other parents and form a supportive community for both themselves and their children.
Caterpillars
Age : 18 months – 30 months
The Caterpillar - Toddler program is designed to wean the child off their parent, and foster a sense of independence and routine. As a parent-free environment can be unfamiliar, our teachers establish a level of comfort and familiarity with the children, enabling them to adapt to their peers and surroundings. Learning through play is the main approach used and the introduction of basics of numerals, literacy, phonics, yoga, music, dance and story sessions are a key component of the program.
Ducklings
Age : 2.6 years – 3.6 years
Ducklings an equivalent to the PreKg Program, the first step into a more formalized structure, this module imparts language, pre-writing, phonic skills, number play and exploration in the sciences. Indian and western music, theater and creative movement form a part of the specialists’ activities.
The curriculum is designed based on the Transdisciplinary Themes, around which all learning and inquiry for the term is centred. The Transdisciplinary Themes are concepts/common themes across subjects, that provide students with authentic & real-world learning opportunities, moving beyond the boundaries of traditional subjects. Children are taught pre-writing, literacy & vocabulary building, phonic skills and numeracy.
Bumblebees
Age : 3.6 years – 4.6 years
The Bumblebees which is equivalent to Lower Kindergarten (LKG) focuses on building writing and reading skills, number concepts, and science through experiments. Various concepts pertaining to the transdisciplinary theme are explored. Interesting and thought-provoking activities including field trips are carried out which fall in line with the Unit of Inquiry. Jolly phonics, a fun and child-centered approach is used to build on lower and upper-case letters. Numeracy is integrated using numbers, shapes and concepts. Specialists come in for Basketball and Dance.
Our teachers aim at cultivating and promoting initiative, interest, creativity and overall learning by encouraging children to voice their opinions and extend their thinking and actions.
Bunnies
Age : 4.6 years – 5.6 years
The Bunnies program is the equivalent to Upper Kindergarten (UKG). As a step up from the Explorers, this module strengthens the writing and reading skills of the students. After assessing the childrens prior knowledge, we work with them to improve their potential through mental mathematics, recitation and science through experiments. Formation of sentences are enhanced to encourage higher levels of speaking.
